It was funny when I heard my Mom say that the old thermostat had Alzheimer’s.
- I wondered what was wrong with the oil furnace when I visited a couple of mornings earlier.
It miserable myself and others to guess about them being in a home where the oil furnace wasn’t laboring. I knew that it was going to be below frosty that evening, and I still left my mom and Mom in a home without heat. My Mom told myself and others that everything was going to be fine. He was smiling and so was mom. I left, wondering if I shouldn’t call the Heating and A/C supplier and have them come out and look at the oil furnace. When I got home, I said something to my fiance. I told his how cold it was in the house, and I asked if he thought I should call the Heating and A/C supplier. She reminded myself and others that my mom and Mom were easily independent and easily competent. They could take care of themselves. She also said that if there was something seriously wrong with the oil furnace, that my Mom could repair it. I guess my fiance had more faith in my parents than I had. I called Mom the next day and asked if they were all right. He told myself and others he and mom were nice and they would have the heating problem repaired by early day. That’s when he said it was the thermostat and it had Alzheimer’s. He said he retired the old thermostat, and he was waiting for the Heating and A/C specialist to arrive. He was going to have a Smart Thermostat installed.
