When it rains, it snows!

Winter is almost upon us here in the north.

Although people ignore it, the rain we are experiencing now will soon be snow.

Last night, it was raining and the next thing I knew, I looked out the window and it was snowing. It doesn’t last once the sun comes out, but we had snow when we woke up. I could hear the furnace running in the middle of the night, and I knew it had to be cold outside. We had frost on the windows and I knew that winter was on the way. I asked my husband if he had the furnace serviced yet. I didn’t want to be sitting in the house without any heat. I wear sweaters all the time, now. I get so cold that my fingers won’t move and that isn’t a good thing. I write free-lance articles and I write from home. I really need to have fingers that are warm and nimble. When my husband didn’t answer my question about the furnace, I assumed he hadn’t called the HVAC company. When he went to work the next day, I called the HVAC company to set up an appointment for the furnace to be serviced. They told me there was already an appointment to have the furnace inspected. I thanked him for the information and hung up. I hoped they didn’t say anything to my husband about my calling. He will be really mad that I had checked up on him, but he could have answered me when I asked if he had already called them.
