I’m glad we got a security system installed at our house

We spend time between two houses, and we spend approximately half the year at each one of them.

  • My family stays up in the north from sometime in early May to the end of October as well as then head south for the next few months.

And with our living arrangements, we get to love the best weather in both locations where we have homes. We avoid the warm season heat as well as humidity down south as well as the snow and the sub zero Wintry cold temperatures in the north. But for us, taking care of two houses is filled with worry. The people I was with and I stress over the opening of the pipes freezing in our empty house if something should go wrong with the heater when we aren’t there. My family and I are always anxious over fire, flooding as well as break-ins. So we finally decided to invest in an automation plan for each residence. The plan includes a smart temperature control, carbon monoxide detector, and a great smoke detector. We also have moisture sensors as well as all sorts of security features. The house is now also equipped with glass breakage sensors, surveillance cameras as well as automated door locks. So if someone should enter the house, they have a brief amount of time to punch in a security code. Then the alarm sounds, and my spouse and I get notified… Unless it is a false alarm, the correct authorities are dispatched out to the house. Now we have the ability to keep an eye on both houses because of the surveillance cameras. So at any time, we can watch a live video stream through our PCs, tablets or smartphone app. The automation plan has provided greater convenience and security for us, and it’s really made going back and forth between two properties way easier.
