When will I see him again?

I have the sweetest puppy of all the time. We have loved him since the first moment we laid eyes on him. My partner and I couldn’t wait until he was old enough to take home. Once we got him home, he would lope throughout the house and make us laugh. He would skid across the floor and then look at us like we had pushed him. When he finished sliding, he would run and do it again. A couple weeks ago we had to have the HVAC technician come to the house and do the inspection on our air conditioning unit. Tyler, the puppy, wouldn’t leave his side. His tongue was hanging out and he could only sit and stare at him. My partner laughed and told me it was like she was in love with him. He would reach over and scratch her ears. He even opened his bag and took a piece of ham out of his sandwich and fed it to Tyler. I couldn’t believe the way the two of them were acting. When the HVAC technician left, Tyler wouldn’t play. He sat by the door whimpering for the next three days. We worried about him because he wouldn’t eat or drink, so we took him to the veterinarian. We explained about the reaction Tyler had to the HVAC technician. She told us it was just a case of ‘puppy’ love and laughed at her own joke. I’m wondering if we could get the HVAC tech back to the house so Tyler can get back to being himself.
