We were able to avoid the extreme temperatures outside and stay cool during the whole shoot
As a mom, family photos can be exhausting rather than exciting. I spend hundreds of dollars to have the photos taken, spend hours picking and buying matching outfits, and I have to keep the whole family happy during the entire photoshoot. All of this exhaustion just for a few nice family photos is hardly worth it. I don’t want to look back and regret not capturing moments of our family together though, so I do it anyway. Last week, we had a family photoshoot scheduled during one of the hottest days of the year. The weather channels were talking about a massive heat wave wiping through the area and there was nothing I could do but embrace it. I picked outfits that were cool and comfortable for everyone and prayed for the best. Our photographer suggested we shoot the photos in a different location and I happily obliged. I assumed our new location would still be outside, but I was pleasantly surprised when the address she gave us took us to a studio building. Instead of shooting outside, we got to shoot inside with the cool air conditioning! The photographer had us stand in front of a white paper backdrop and there was a ductless mini split system above it! During the entire shoot, the cool air conditioning was blowing onto everyone and it felt amazing. We were able to avoid the extreme temperatures outside and stay cool during the whole shoot. Everyone was happy and comfortable and I think we’re going to do all family photos this way in the future.
