My family and I have been living in an RV for the past five years. When we started our adventure, we only planned to be on the road for a year or two. We had so much fun during the first couple of years that we decided to make RV living a full-time lifestyle for us. Since we live in an RV, it is very important to service all of the systems in the vehicle. Each year it is important to have a service tune up on the furnace and the air conditioner. We try not to stay in very many places that have miserable weather. During the summer months, we stay in a place where it is cool and comfortable. During the winter months, we stay in an area where the temperatures are mild. We use propane to heat our home and we have a central air conditioner as well. Last summer I contacted a mobile RV mechanic to service the air conditioner and the furnace. The mobile RV mechanic gave us some very bad news after checking on the condition of the furnace and the air conditioner. The guy told my wife and I that the air conditioner would need to be replaced before the following summer. We had some minor issues with the air conditioner during the previous summer, but I did not expect such bad news during the service tune up. We have some time before we have to pay for the new air conditioner, but that is an expense. It’s going to cost a couple of thousand dollars to get the proper machine for that job.
