I found a qualified air conditioning technician from a WhatsApp group

The quality air conditioner at the house had been misbehaving for a while now and after what had happened to me the previous time, I felt stuck and unable to fix it, so I kept postponing the issue. The previous time when the system was having issues, I had looked up a company that was offering cheap air conditioning repairs. When the “a/c serviceman” arrived at my house, I noticed that he did not have the complete gear, but I ignored it. I thought that being a specialist, he did not need the full gear as it could get cumbersome. He opened up the multi-split air conditioning system in the name of repairing it. I later found out that he had damaged a couple of components as he was not qualified. He was an intern at one of the air conditioning companies in the area. I got scared of the situation repeating itself and so when the unit started malfunctioning, I felt stranded. I stumbled upon this WhatsApp group that gave out information on air conditioning to lay people as well as cooling industry experts. I wrote down my issue and requested a referral of a qualified air conditioning technician. My mother always told me to trust but always verify so even though I received a referral, I did my due diligence on the qualifications of these professionals as well as the indoor comfort business he was connected to. I found that he had a 4.8-star review and had handled numerous HVAC installations perfectly. I contacted the air conditioning provider and he did a comprehensive HVAC maintenance on the system and the thermostat to finally restore the air quality.
