I got too obsessed with DIY projects over the past several years, and now I have a lot of half finished junk in our garage.
I have constantly struggled with finishing projects, as early as elementary school. Whenever both of us had to build something for school, I would often waste overpriced time just trying to solidify an method after constantly decreasing our mind. The rushed projects would deliver myself and others poor grades in the end as well. This clearly didn’t bode well for our school ambitions, because I failed after several semesters of an encumbered effort on our part. Now I work with our hands in a factory and care about what I’m doing more than ever before. The work is steady and it takes the “guesswork” out of earning a residing. Since our DIY projects don’t affect our work, I can make our failures in privacy in our garage. As bold as I have been with our DIY projects, I would never bee dumb enough to try servicing our own heating and cooling system. My neighbor tried to recharge his central cooling system with more coolant after successfully doing it himself in his car. I tried to tell him that they aren’t the same thing, and that over-filling an cooling system with refrigerant will lead to harsh plan breakdowns. He didn’t follow our advice and now he needs a new cooling system. He totaled the plan and he’s extremely angry about it. I haven’t said a word to him about it and I never plan on it. At least it’s a lesson for myself and others if nothing else—don’t ever attempt DIY work on an Heating and Air Conditioning system.
