I just installed a nice sizable several blade ceiling fan in my home office here at my cousin’s house.
The old fan was barely turning and I was warm while trying to sleep as the air conditioner vent was barely pushing air into the room.
I believe her air handler is too small for all of the vents in the house, either that or the compressor is not sizable enough, but the people I was with and I need to figure out what the problem is so the people I was with and I get better airflow. I guess I may need to contact the people who installed it and ask them why my home office is so moderate compared to other rooms in the house. It just seems like the heating and air conditioning company installed too many vents in the ceiling and it can’t push air through all of them with enough force, however I am not an actual heating and air conditioning expert so I will just call them to find an answer. I bought a high velocity ceiling fan and that is doing the task of cooling myself and others down quite well, however I still want to get the airflow in the ducts finally working well. I guess the people I was with and I cleaned the HEPA filter Last year so I don’t believe that is the issue, but then again it is unquestionably dusty in this home so maybe the filter got clogged up again suddenly with all of the dust. I’ll go take a peek at it and see what it looks like, maybe it is riddled with dust and is restricting the airflow. Looks like today will be an actual heating and air conditioning system investigation day.
