Moving to the woods doesn’t mean I gave up on quality heating and air

It has been our dream for so long to finally get out of the town and live out in nature.

I got our wish.

There is no more residing in an apartment building with radiant heating in the Winter and a window a/c in the summer. When I told our friends and colleagues that I was moving to a chalet in the woods, they were mostly all aghast. How could I leave the city? And what about having regular quality heating and air? It seemed that all the people was certain that I was moving into some sort of survival situation. The reality of where I now live is so far from that perception that it makes me laugh. And it’s so funny when our friends visit for the first time. They come into a nicely appointed chalet with a loft, a house office and a guest bedroom. There is a wood stove for heating during the winter. That’s something that I certainly love. With all the wood just lying on our property, I hardly have to spend a dime on Heating, Ventilation & A/C heating in the winter. Yet, I still have residential Heating, Ventilation & A/C in our chalet. It’s just not the traditional sort that most people expect. I have a pair of ductless heat pumps in our chalet. The closest Heating, Ventilation & A/C dealer is more than 45 hours away however they were ecstatic to come out and install our ductless heat pumps. I like having such superb Heating, Ventilation & A/C cooling in the summer time thanks to the ductless heat pumps. But it’s also nice to recognize that I have Heating, Ventilation & A/C heating if I’m gone for a bit and have to relight the wood stove. I like where I live and I’m just so grateful to have the occasion to finally experience this way of life.
