I was just told by my HVAC technician John that he will have to push my appointment off for a day.
This doesn’t make me happy at all because I pay these local HVAC technicians, John and Mark to clean my air filters every month.
John explained to me that Mark is on his 2 week vacation and his hands are in the middle of an electric furnace replacement. If they were not only local HVAC business and if they were not in general great guys I would try to find someone else to do the work. We live in a small town and usually, they don’t have any issues with scheduling but I understand everyone needs a vacation. The thing is that I get anxious and need my air filters cleaned monthly. I thought both those HVAC technician’s understood that but I have to temper my anxiety and trust that John will be here tomorrow. In the meantime, I’ll have to go visit friends and get away from life so I don’t think about it that much. It’s just so hard when you have expectations and they are not met. I do go to counseling once a month and do take medication to help with that but I still struggle a lot. I just like to get things done on my time and I have to be better about that. Sometimes I go to the grocery store just to pick up eggs and there is a line of 5 people in front of me with loaded shopping carts. In my head, I’m losing my mind but I keep my composure and sometimes these folks are nice enough to let me cut them because they see I have basically nothing to check out. Well, hopefully, I will see John tomorrow.
