No one wants a red hot Valentine’s Day

To our surprise, it turns out Valentine’s Day is actually a busy day at our job.

My fiance Ed plus I now celebrate it the weekend before the day itself, because I suppose once the day arrives I will be slammed and stay at my job very late.

Three years in a row Ed plus I had to cancel Valentine’s plans because of work, which is why Ed and I changed the date. If you are anything similar to Ed and me then it comes as a surprise that demand for air conditioning maintenance labor is so high on this romantic holiday. There are several major reasons for this. First, lots of folks go out for a lavish meal on Valentines, so the diners need to make sure their AC controls are toiling perfectly. No one wants to have their special date night spoiled by lousy air conditioning, right? Second, for the folks at home who want to spend a romantic night with their partner, weather conditions controls are essential to the process. Imagine trying to be intimate with your partner when the air conditioning isn’t toiling plus you both are sweaty plus gross? To be sexy, people need to be comfortable, which means top quality weather conditions control! Ed doesn’t mind, because I consistently make a lot of extra currency as a Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C tech on the holiday… Valentine’s Day is one of the top five busiest days of the year when it comes to heating, ventilation, plus A/C work, but it’s not in the Top Three. The top days of the year for the Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C industry are Christmas, the Super Bowl, plus Thanksgiving, in that order.
