An interesting call for a furnace/heater tune-up

Most days, nothing out of the ordinary happens when you are a heating contractor.

Our heating company provides quality service and has one of the best heater care programs to help with indoor comfort. Since I joined the heating industry eight years ago, when I was very green regarding heating technology, I have learned so much. For homes with pets or people with allergies, we suggest having an indoor air cleaning system that works alongside the central heater instead of having a single air filter for the bedroom or one room. A call came in Sometime in the afternoon, and the caller sounded very young. She was probably ten years old if my guess was any good. She said that her papa had told her it was paramount to call the heating and cooling provider for a furnace/heater tune-up, but she decided to make the call herself since she had not yet come home. Listening to her recreate the noise the boiler was making was incredibly entertaining. It added a light moment to a rather dull afternoon. I told her that it was terrific that she remembered to call and then asked her to give us her paps’ number so we could confirm other details about the heating and cooling system. The father provided me with the information I needed about the HVAC equipment to come up with a probable diagnosis. He added that apart from the boiler repair, the thermostat and the furnace filter needed replacement. We made arrangements, and since he was on his way home, the HVAC technician would be at her house a few minutes after he had arrived. The HVAC repairman was there on time, and by the time she left, the electric furnace was as good as a new one.
