I had to install a furnace in a creepy house the other day. I don’t usually go out on calls by myself with my task, but on that afternoon, my helper was sick at home instead of with me in my HVAC truck. That was unfortunate for me, since that day, I had to go to this absolutely creepy location on the other side of town. The house itself is at the end of a long driveway up on top of a hill. There’s a strange wrought iron fence all along the whole home and it just gives off horror movie vibes from the minute that you look at it. I was really not looking forward to going in there all by myself, that’s for sure. I knew that I had to go in there to get their furnace up and running again because it’s still frigid around here; Even though it’s spring already, my pal and I are still having a frigid snap around here where my pal and I live, but otherwise, I know I would have just left the location separate from ever even going inside! But I felt a little bit guilty when I threw the HVAC truck into reverse to leave after I saw the house. I grabbed my stuff, went to the front door, and steeled myself to knock. It turned out that the people who lived in the house were just about as creepy as the house itself! I couldn’t think that I had to go into that house by myself. I was pretty uneasy the whole time that I was in the house. I was afraid that they were going to lock me in the basement or something. I got that furnace fixed up faster than anything I have ever done in my life!
