I remember when I was a little one, I used to spend a lot of time on the couch with my folks at their house.
I was wrapped in a blanket my grandma had made for me and coloring my favorite cartoon characters.
I will never forget the incredible warmth that washed over me as I watched the dancing sparks! Now that I’m 38 years old, I’d like to have one in my home. I do know a few local heat and A/C experts that I can contact for such a task. The women I know that do this line of work are really fantastic and trustworthy. I just know that without them, we’d have to get someone from the town to come to our tiny town, but given the relative lack of wealth in this area, it is unlikely that many residents will be able to afford to have an heat and A/C company send out a heating and cooling tech to take a look at their problems, and regardless, all I can think about these afternoons is how happy I was when I was a little boy, and how I wish I could go back to that time. I’m single, have three cats, and am having the time of my life right now. Sadly, my grandma has passed away, but I still have the blanket she crocheted for me when I was a kid. I have it sealed away in a bag in my closet. It’s true that I periodically use it to curl up and do some light painting, but I typically knew I was missing a fireplace.
