When I got home from work yesterday, I knew there was a problem with the AC unit.
I walked through the front door and the heat hit me in the face.
The air inside of the house should have been colder than the air outside, so I was immediately concerned. I put my bag, briefcase, and groceries on the table in the kitchen and I walked directly to the area where the thermostat is located. The temperature on the thermostat was 78°. The AC unit was running, but it was warm inside of the house. I grabbed a step stool so I could stand up taller and put my hand in front of one of the air vents. The air coming out of the AC unit was warmer than it should have been, so that prompted me to contact an AC repair service close to me. I called the AC repair service close to me and made an early morning appointment. The AC repair service offered to come out to the house that evening for a small additional charge, but I didn’t mind waiting until the morning. I did not have to go to work the next day and I knew that I would be available all day to wait for the repair person. The next day, I got an appointment early in the morning. The temperatures weren’t even warm yet, so I didn’t have the AC running. Thankfully, the repair technician did not need the AC to run in order to figure out why the machine was not cooling properly. The issue was with the refrigerant.
