I had a disappointing nightmare last night, but i dreamt that there was this creepy, long-limbed, alien creature running around on my roof.
It was trying to get into the house and it was digging at the shingles with its creepy fingernails.
I woke up in a chilly sweat and quickly reassured myself that it was just a dream. I was almost back to sleep when I bolted upright and sat in my bed listening intently. I had heard that digging sound again, then for a few horrifying seconds I thought that the alien creature easily was on my roof… But after listening more I could tell that it wasn’t anything otherworldly. It sounded like it was a raccoon or an opossum. It also sounded like it was in the ductwork system, however although I was cheerful that it wasn’t some sort of horrifying monster I was still upset that some wild creature was just feet above my head and digging in my ductwork system. I didn’t get any more sleep that night. In the afternoon. I called up an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C contractor then I waited for them to show up. Thankfully, they can around the time they said they would and they quickly got to labor cleaning and sealing my ductwork system. They also put up some wire in my attic to keep the creatures out, then now I just need to hire a cleaner to scrub up my attic. The Heating, Ventilation, and A/C companys said that the raccoons made a mess up there. I almost wish it had been a monster instead of raccoons. That would have been less messy.
