My brother had a current gas furnace installed in his house. He was constantly talking about his gas furnace & what a wonderful task it was doing. I asked him what kind of gas furnace he had since I was looking to buy a current one. He couldn’t give me a brand name or even a model. He said it was on sale & he got a great deal on it. When he said that, I told him to talk to me about the gas furnace after he had it for a while. I was waiting to hear him call & tell me how exhausting the gas furnace was. I didn’t appreciate the method of having something if I couldn’t have a warranty on it. It wasn’t even a month later, when he called & said he had to call the HVAC supplier. A major component quit laboring. He was almost in tears when he told me he didn’t have a warranty on the part & it had to come out of his pocket. I asked if he needed any help & he refused. He told me he made a mistake & he would have to pay for it. I felt entirely exhausting for him. I had this feeling about the gas furnace when he told me about it. I hate to say that I told him so, even though I did, & now he was paying for exhausting judgement. I don’t plan on making the same mistake when I buy a current gas furnace. I’ll make sure there is a full warranty on the entire plan & I’ll also purchase a maintenance agreement.
