We work on designing and building households

I suppose that out in the world there are professional architects that do pretty much nothing else… Their entire job is spent toiling on blueprints, crafting specialized structures for corporations plus high paying clients.

I don’t actually know if I would appreciate that or not, although I never had the choice. Being an architect is just a section of what I do for my corporation, although I am a lot more hands on then you might expect from an architect. I work hand in hand with all sorts of other people at the corporation to make sure all the designs are feasible plus entirely cost effective. The blueprint is completely worthless if it is for something you can’t have your construction crew build for you. All of us also need to make sure all of the plans for future structures will be ADA compliant construction projects, which is easily more pressing now than ever before. Our corporation works on a good amount of small plus mid level construction projects, but have yet to build anything as large as a stadium or major concert site. All of us have done a little sport complex construction, but it wasn’t a Superdome, it was a little league field pretty much. Technically it was sport complex construction, although I suppose it’s a cheat to say that a couple of fenced in dug-outs plus some bleachers is a true “complex.” I have no desire to design anything incredibly elaborate like that. Anyway, residential lake home design plus construction has been where the people I was with and I are finding the work as of late. Even before COVID a good amount of corporations were going under, plus commercial construction jobs were starting to dry up altogether.
