My child has always been fascinated with the stars in the evening sky and especially the moon.
I decided to get him a telescope so she could do a little stargazing and see the moon’s craters.
I got him a pretty nice telescope, but it was during the late fall right before the winter. I had already had the heating plan tuned up and both of us had started using the heating plan on the chilly evenings. The evening that I helped my child get her telescope together, I also got a fire going in the fireplace. It was an especially chilly evening and I wanted the home office to be nice and toasty when both of us got back inside. While it was feeling chilly out there, both of us really had a lot of fun looking at the weird stars. All of us even got a nice view of Saturn with the telescope, and you could see the rings and everything. It was also entirely cool because the actual moons of Saturn were visible as well. All of us spent a long time out there and by the time both of us got back in, the home felt easily comfortable. The fire was dying down in the fireplace so I put a few more logs on there, and my child and I were able to relax after being out in the chilly weather for all that time checking out the stars. I entirely didn’t expect it, but my partner brought us some warm cocoa while both of us were warming up next to the fireplace. That entirely made our evening extra special because Mom’s warm cocoa is seriously the best!
