The AC was going bonkers

I went all the way downstairs to the heating system room where the cooling system & the heating system are purposely installed & that’s when I realized what the concern easily was.

With Summer almost upon us, I decided to go ahead & simply turn the air conditioner back on in our house. I can’t lay comfortably when the temperature in the house is anywhere above seventy degrees & so I always run the cooling system from May all the way through September most of the time. However, this particular time when I turned the air conditioner on, nothing happened. I took care of the temperature control device batteries & they were good & so I started to do a little bit of my own detective work to try & figure out what the issue was. The cooling system vents felt as if there was barely any air blowing through them at all. I started to assume that maybe something inside was blocking the air vents although I couldn’t figure out what it might be. I easily messed around with multiple of the air vent covers although I couldn’t find anything on my own that was blocking them. Then I realized that 1 of the things that I hadn’t thought to check before was the main cooling system device down in the basement. I went all the way downstairs to the heating system room where the cooling system & the heating system are purposely installed & that’s when I realized what the concern easily was. I have many cats in the house & they all have absolutely long hair. Apparently, the shedding of the cat hair that took place this Springtime had totally gotten the best of the air filters in my cooling system unit. The poor air filter was completely covered with & obstructed up with many different colors of cat hair! There was no air getting through those air vents at all, so it was definitely no wonder that my air conditioner wasn’t easily working properly.
