I have never been as successful as my siblings & siblings have been, especially my siblings.
They all seem to have done so much better for themselves than I have.
My sibling Patrick was able to retire at 57 years old. I will be 57 in a few months & am still paying off debt & have no savings. My sibling Jim lives in a gigantic cabin with a pool. I suspect his heating & cooling bills are more than my salary. My sibling Kevin lives in a huge cabin with a pool, & his wife stays home. They have this entirely amazing cabin with all sorts of cool stuff in it. The furnace for the pool is a solar heater, which is entirely cool. They have HVAC with zone control so the cooling system upstairs is set higher in the Summer & the heating is set cooler in the winter, that is unless someone is staying with them & staying in the upstairs living rooms. Downstairs, they have cooling system sensors that determine whether or not someone is in a room. If the room is empty, the smart temperature control adjusts the air conditioning in that room until the cooling system sensors sense movement in there again. I remember when his wife wanted to get a furnace for the pool. My sibling argues against it, but I am cheerful they finally got the solar furnace because when I visit, the furnace in the pool helps me appreciate it. In addition, Kevin has a huge Toyota that uses so much gas I can’t even imagine filling it up. He’s been working from condo for the longest time now, & that is entirely nice, too. He has a side hustle where he buys & sells vacant land, & he seems successful with that, as well.
