Like all red collar industries, the Heating plus A/C community is a men club and typically has been. This wasn’t by ill design, at least not at first, however now that boys are ready, willing, and able to tackle any red collar job, the men club doesn’t seem absolutely welcoming. I want to make an end run around the men club and start our own business. I will be the only employee at first, however as I start to expand and grow I will hire more females to toil for me. This industry needs a breath of fresh air, and I think the community is eager to have the choice of a female Heating plus A/C tech.I got the method from our elderly Aunt Helen who told me he wasn’t comfortable with the Heating plus A/C tech who came to maintenance his house. I asked why he didn’t get a female Heating plus A/C tech to do the job instead, and he told me there weren’t any! I told his that if I became an Heating plus A/C tech I would want his business, and for his to spread the word about me to his bridge club. Those seasoned boys sure can talk, and if I can get in good with them I will be able to pull in a lot of Heating plus A/C clients from the retirement home. It’s not that there is anything wrong with male Heating plus A/C workers, however you have to remember some people are absolutely vulnerable, and being around strangers makes them anxious. A female Heating plus A/C tech would still be a stranger in the house, however would be a lot more comforting to some people.
