The last person in the cabin stole something valuable

When I was 18 years old, I got a job working as a leasing agent at an apartment complex.

  • I worked at the place for a year and then they made me the assistant manager.

Since that time, I have been in the business of renting and managing apartments. About two years ago, I got a job as the manager of a property leasing agency. We have hundreds of clients and properties all over the county. Many of the properties are houses, but some of them are condos. We also have a couple of cabins. One of those cabins is over by the lake and in an area that is frequently used by tourists. The rental cabin is always busy and we have a waiting list during the spring and summer months. The last time we had someone in the cabin, there was a problem and we had to keep the security deposit. We only refund the security deposit after the final walk-through which is performed after the renter leaves. During the last rental, one of the brand new window AC units was stolen. I’m not sure how the air conditioner managed to become lost or stolen, but the machine was inside the cabin when I rented the property to the 3 guys. They tried to tell me that it wasn’t their fault, but there were no signs of anyone breaking into the cabin. They had to have taken the AC unit when they left at the end of the week. I kept the $200 security deposit and they are now on our list of banished renters.
