Our town’s oldest pizzeria finally got an upgraded heating and cooling system

I’m happy to say that this amazing pizzeria now has a cold air conditioner inside

I am spoiled growing up in a town with several highly rated pizzerias within a 20 mile radius. Even if it costs a little bit more money for each pie, I’d much rather order from a local restaurant over a chain restaurant any day of the week. Not to mention the one closest to my house, which is consistently rated number one in the area, is run by an Italian and the business goes back generations. It is our town’s oldest pizzeria and is an integral part of the cultural history of our community here. They were one of the longest running sponsors for our various kids sports teams in elementary, middle school, and high school. This is the same restaurant I frequented when I was playing little league football and the place where I had my first date a few years later. As great as they are, the building is old and has needed ongoing renovations over the years. They tore up the floors when I was in college and put down spanish tile in the dining room and slip resistant tile in the kitchen. However, the single most annoying thing that used to encourage me to order take-out or delivery was the indoor air quality in the restaurant. I know that kitchens are hot, but that building clearly lacked proper HVAC. I’m happy to say that this amazing pizzeria now has a cold air conditioner inside. Countless patrons have commented about how comfortable it is inside the restaurant now. They saw a huge increase in sit-down dining almost immediately. Hopefully they chose a quality commercial HVAC system with a high SEER rating.
