My work is both physically and mentally demanding.
- What I do demands some serious focus to do it to the level required.
And much of the time, I have to be out in the elements to do what I do for a living. Honestly, I love what I do and I wouldn’t have it any other way. However, I sure do like coming home to the HVAC comfort of my home. When you are out in the elements through the seasons, great heating and cooling is necessary at the end of the day. My wife and I both have always put a premium on quality heating and air. So we invested in our HVAC equipment in order to get the great quality heating and air that we expect. Normally, I’m in charge of all things HVAC. That means that I change the air filter each month, check to be sure all the air duct vents are open and keep the HVAC cabinet free of debris. Part of those HVAC chores also includes making sure the HVAC maintenance gets done. That means heating maintenance on the gas furnace in the fall. Then in spring, the HVAC technician comes out to do the air conditioning tune-up as well. This year, I forgot the heating maintenance. Sure enough, I woke up in the middle night to a freezing house. The gas furnace wasn’t working. It was a simple fix by the HVAC technician but he acknowledged that he would have caught the faulty part during the heating maintenance ahd I called.
