It never ceases to amaze me the amount of unsolicited advice I get from people who are simply just flapping their gums.
But I still can’t seem to get away from people telling me what I ought to do.
This seems so bizarre to me. The idea that I would ever start some rant about something that had nothing to do with me completely foreign to my personality. I wish it were the case for those around me. Recently, our HVAC technician came out to do the air conditioning tune-up prior to all the HVAC cooling we’d need for the summer. When he was finished, the HVAC professional advise me that in the next six months or so, I’d need to have an HVAC repair. There was a part in the HVAC equipment that was wearing out and would need to be replaced. It was not an inexpensive HVAC repair so the HVAC technician wanted to be sure that I was prepared for this eventuality. Now that’s why I keep doing business with our HVAC company right there. Still, my nosey neighbor walked over as I was saying so long to the HVAC technician. It was a quiz right away and I knew that no matter what I said, it was going to be the wrong answer. The neighbor wasn’t listening though because he was already telling me to ditch the HVAC company. He had a handyman that could take care of any HVAC problem for half the cost. I finally had to shut him down by telling him that nobody but a certified, licensed HVAC professional would be touching my HVAC unit.
