New addition needs new HVAC

The fact that we had to have a bedroom for each of the children became absolutely undeniable.

We had hoped our girls would be able to stay in a room together until the oldest went off to college.

That just wasn’t going to happen. The near constant bickering and outright battles the two of those girls would get in was really disturbing. There was very little peace and quiet inside the air conditioning comfort of our home. At the same time, my wife and I weren’t so keen about updating the HVAC equipment to get the house on the market. Even if we got a great price on our home, the price of getting into a larger home was still at the limits of our finances. So we decided to add a master suite to our house. This was a win on several levels. Our oldest could move into our old room and that would end to constant turmoil. We’d be adding value to the house for when we sell it once the kids are off to college. And we get our own master suite with new HVAC equipment. The new addition was too much air volume just to add to the current heating and cooling system. So the HVAC company installed a ductless heat pump in that new room. It’s really such quality heating and air that it’s hard to believe it’s coming from such a small package. We even had the HVAC company put in a space heater in the new bathroom for chilly mornings. It all worked out really well and the girls are actually getting along really well now.
