The hot water heater was likely the issue, but we couldn’t tear the hot water heater apart with a house filled with people.
My son’s birthday was last weekend and my husband and I decided to have a party for all of our friends and family to attend. Jack was excited to see all of the people show up to celebrate his birthday. We barbecued on the grill and made hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, and ribs. We had about 25 people in that house. We spent most of our time outside. The weather was exceptionally nice. There was a light wind and the Sun was shining. We honestly could not have asked for nicer weather for an outdoor party. My mom and dad showed up around 1. They had a huge box in their arms for Jack. My mom needed to use the bathroom, so I went into the house with her. He came out of the bathroom a couple of minutes later and told me that there wasn’t any hot water. I told my mom that it takes a little while for the water to heat up. She informed me that she let the water run for a while. I really didn’t think about the problem until my husband mentioned the lack of hot water in the kitchen sink. I told him exactly what my mother said earlier. The hot water heater was likely the issue, but we couldn’t tear the hot water heater apart with a house filled with people. Ignored the issues with the hot water heater until everyone was gone. As soon as the last person left, my husband got out his toolbox and took the hot water heater apart. The problem turned out to be an issue with the thermostat. It wasn’t expensive to buy the replacement parts and my husband did all of the work on his own.
