A hydronic heating system for the playroom at the daycare

Running a daycare is not easy, especially finding the right caregivers that parents can trust in their children.

One of the caregivers had left for her maternity leave, and luckily it was the school holiday season which meant that some of the children would be at home with their siblings.

Fewer children meant less income, but at least I would not have to look for another care give for almost a month or so. It also meant that we could renovate one of the playrooms. I had scheduled a furnace/heater tune-up a fortnight ago, but the HVAC tech postponed it to a later date because we wanted to renovate one of the playrooms we rarely used during the cold season. When we did, we used a portable space heater. After all, the temperature never rose to comfortable levels no matter how many times you reset the dial thermostat. I had contacted an HVAC provider who would be in charge of delivering the quality HVAC equipment for that room. Still, we had a last-minute change of mind and decided to use hydronic heating for the floors since they were compatible with the furnace/heater installation. The heating contractor and her team would have to remove the current flooring, and then the professionals from the HVAC business to install the new quality heating and air conditioning system. We were replacing the temperature control system with a more technologically advanced one. During the process, the HVAC repairman discovered that there was also a need for a furnace/heater repair. When they finished the job, the whole home heating system was working better than it had before all the work and upgrade.
