My husband owns an HVAC company, and a couple of months ago he offered a really great special for his customers where he would come and do a furnace tune up for only $64, which is a really great deal.
Then he decided to go to the next level of service and offer his customers the chance to get both their air conditioning system and their heating systems tuned up at the same time. When he told me that he was going to do both of these things for only $99, I thought that it sounded crazy. I actually asked him if he wasn’t going to be losing money for the HVAC business by offering such a cheap price for those services. He told me that he would not be making very much of a profit at all, but he really wanted to offer a great value to his customers as a thank you to them for sticking by him through the years. I guess the anniversary of his HVAC company being open is coming up and he wanted to offer some sort of anniversary special to them to celebrate the success of his business. I’m really glad that he enjoys running his HVAC company as much as he does. Even though he has a dozen HVAC technicians working for him these days, he still goes out on heating and cooling repair calls a lot just because he enjoys it. I think that he will probably keep doing this type of work forever, simply because he enjoys it so much. He is a guy who really loves his customers, that’s for sure.
