I thought I was getting sick last weekend.
I woke up shivering and sweaty, and couldn’t wait to bundle up with multiple layers of heavy clothing.
Two minutes later, I was drenched in sweat and taking off the layers and getting back down to nearly no clothes at all. This went on throughout the entire day, and I thought I was getting sick. Although I wasn’t feeling so poorly, and I seemed fine, I knew there was something wrong. If I had realized it was the temperature controls working poorly, I would have dealt with the situation myself, although I wasn’t an Heating and A/C professional. I knew I was feeling sick, so I just assumed it had something to do with the gas furnace; and I was partly correct. The temperature control controls the functioning of the gas furnace. I called the local Heating and A/C supplier and told them I needed to have the gas furnace inspected and explained about our bouts of being cold and then hot. The Heating and A/C team arrived and found nothing wrong with the gas furnace. He did every test he could to inspect the gas furnace, but it was fine. The Heating and A/C professional asked if I knew of anything else, and that was when I told him the gas furnace was on for a long time, and then it clicked back off, which is when it got too cold. He said he had an idea, and checked the temperature controls, then once he installed a more current temperature control, our gas furnace was once again finally working well, although I was still sick because of all the temperature changes. The gas furnace was still finally working very well, and the temperature control was finally working, but our fever was taking my body temp from sizzling to cold and back again, for the next 3 mornings.
