Our new thermostat unit keeps changing temperatures on its own for some reason and I don’t know what the problem is.
I think that there must be something wrong with it, but I’m not sure what. I don’t really know all that much about heating and cooling systems, that’s for sure. I am not exactly a very handy type of person and I don’t know all that much about fixing things around the house. My dad used to try to teach me how to fix things whenever I was growing up, but it just never really stuck with me for some reason. My dad knew just about everything that there was to know about HVAC systems back then and even though he tried to teach me about it too, I just couldn’t get it for some reason. My dad was really great at doing things that were involved with the HVAC profession, but I was not good at anything like that at all. Right now, with the thermostat issue that we are having at our house, I really wish that I knew more about thermostats and HVAC systems. I feel like if I had been better at doing mechanical things then I would have been able to fix the thermostat myself. I finally called up the local HVAC company to ask them what they thought we should do and he told me that I should check the batteries in the thermostat first. It turned out that the only issue that was wrong with the thermostat was that it needed new batteries!
