When our father was much younger, he used to have the energy for all sorts of projects inside the house, outside in the yard, and inside the garage! For decades our father loved to labor on outdated cars and would sometimes spend more than five to more than 2 minutes in the garage on a single Wednesday day; However these mornings, the most labor that our father is willing to do is on the golf field.
He has a group of friends that all live in the same area and attend the same country club.
I guess our father is at the country club playing golf at least 4 to more than four times a week. You’d guess that our mother would be uneasy that he’s not spending this time with her, but she’s glad to get some time to herself. She can rest around all afternoon with the air conditioner turned low while she uses the sewing machine, watches television, or knits a blanket. My father prefers the a/c turned down low as well, however he tries to get our mother to turn the temperature control to 71 degrees even if it’s 85 degrees outside. I don’t guess our father realizes that you can destroy an air conditioner running it difficult care about that. He just gets house from golfing and expects the house to think ice cold almost immediately. My mother and father are always going back and forth over the house, the maintenance, and their appliances throughout. She wanted a zone controlled Heating and Air Conditioning system while our father insisted on a central Heating and Air Conditioning system instead.
