A leak in your home that affects your heating and cooling system is, in my opinion, one of the worst things that can happen. About two months ago, I first became aware of a problem when I noticed that my heating and cooling costs were significantly higher than they usually were and I was unable to determine why. I had been using my heating and cooling system as usual. I have a smart thermostat, so when I get home from work in the evening it turns on the air conditioning and turns it off during the day while I’m gone. For the longest time, this worked well for me because it helped me save a lot of money on my energy bills, but recently, I noticed that some of my energy bills kept going up even though I hadn’t made any changes. At first, I assumed it was simply because everything’s price was rising, and while I’m sure that’s contributing to some of the expenses being higher, I realized they were going much higher and even if the prices were rising, the costs were still not adding up. Because I thought there might be a problem with my air ducts, I made the decision to have them examined. I had a fairly powerful heating and air conditioning technician who came out here and said I was correct. He informed me that my air ducts had not just one, but several leaks, which caused numerous airways to escape and required the cooling system to operate longer than usual to make up for the leaks. The heating and air conditioning technician fixed it the same day for me because all I had to do was have it fixed, and once it was, the problem would be solved permanently.
