At night, my air conditioning broke down

I remember being quite warm when I woke up a few weeks ago. As it turns out, my air conditioner quit in the middle of the night. Though I had been meaning to, I had not yet had the time to have the unit serviced. To be completely honest, it wasn’t at the top of my list. I usually have my air conditioning unit serviced in early May before I start using it, but lately, I have been using it a lot more than usual because of the warmer weather. The failure of my A/C in the middle of the night is therefore entirely my fault. Since I was switching from heating to cooling, I should have scheduled time to service the appliance. Anyway, I tried to get same-day service when I called my HVAC technician, but I was unsuccessful. He even admitted to having appointments for the following two days. It appears that many other customers experienced problems with their air conditioning. I guess I wasn’t the only person who neglected to have their HVAC system serviced prior to the change in weather. Planning for these things can be challenging when the weather is erratic. I’d have to make my appointment during the week since my HVAC technician rarely works on the weekends. The fact that service could take anywhere between an hour and three hours, depending on what needs to be done, means that I would need to take time off of work. Fortunately, I have a fan in my room, so I could cool off with it until my HVAC technician could come fix my air conditioning.
