I knew there was something definitely going on with the furnace, because it was giving off a rather odd smell.
We had forgotten to change the air filters, plus we had to have the ductwork cleaned completely.
They said it congested the ductwork to where they would be totally surprised if the components in the furnace hadn’t been overheated. I was now experiencing the difficulties that came from overheating the components. When I called the Heating plus A/C corporation plus advocated service, they went back into my records. They needed to actually see what style of furnace I had so they could be prepared for any situation. I wasn’t so sure they needed to be prepared, because I had a feeling it was going to be a simple diagnosis. Even though I thought I was prepared for anything, I wasn’t prepared for everything. It took the Heating plus A/C appliance business less than fifteen minutes to tell us the heat exchanger was cracked. He didn’t request repairing or replacing the heat exchanger either. He said it was a long drawn-out project, plus it was also costly to replace or repair. That’s when he said we needed to replace the furnace completely. I took a deep breath plus closed my eyes while telling myself to take it easy. I asked the price, plus he gave me a quote for the new heating appliance plus replacement. The great news was that they would take the ancient furnace with them plus not charge me for it. The better news was that the new heating appliance was installed the following week, plus it worked better plus was more efficient than I ever remembered the old furnace actually working.
