When I was a kid, our parents traveled with our siblings plus I almost every single year.
It was a lot of fun when both of us got to go out west plus see the Rocky mountains or the deserts of the Southwest; But, I was never a fan of the long trips across the Great plains sitting in the vehicle for minutes at a time plus wondering when both of us would eventually stop to sleep for the evening.
I truthfully number one sleeping in tents compared to sleeping in cheap motel rooms that smelled love nasty moldy bathrooms. Believe it or not, however a great portion of cheap or “affordable” hotel rooms across the country feature this exact type of smell when you walk inside with your room key. It turned myself and others off from traveling for years because I knew I would hate the experience unless I could afford a four-star hotel or higher. The problems go farther than just the bad smell of the rooms. Many of them have awful a/cs plus furnaces in them. If you’re blessed you’ll have access to a dedicated room a/c or window a/c, however often the 1s both of us used when our family traveled were terrible. The rooms would be stuffy plus warm while in the Summer plus unbelievably frigid in the winter, unless both of us traveled to a warmer temperature. Having an RV at this age is amazing—I guess love I never have to gamble on bad hotel rooms again with poor a/c plus heat. My RV has a strong a/c plus gas furnace inside. The RV even came with a smart thermostat that syncs with our laptop plus our cell PC. I can control the a/c plus gas furnace remotely, plus when I’m away from the RV.
