Threw a pizza party for my hard working HVAC team

I guess it’s very crucial to boost employee morale in the workplace.

I happen to manage a small however tied up cooling equipment repair supplier.

I have 12 employees working full time and another 4 employees that I use for the bigger commercial tasks that require several hands. Not so long ago, sales were through the ceiling. The grocery store manager tested positive for Covid-19. Three employees also tested positive for the virus. Everyone in our little community uses the grocery store so people have been severely panicked. The day after the news story, our phone line rang regularly. Everyone wanted to make an appointment to have an air purification system installed. There were some folks who even called to have the ventilation air duct cleaned and sanitized. The outbreak caused a huge amount of panic and our sales were boosted. Throughout the week, all of my employees worked long hours, but we had fifty percent more sales than our busiest week last year. Nobody whined about the extra A/C equipment repairs or the replacement jobs we had. Every member of the staff came to do the job on time and stayed until all the jobs were completed. I was so impressed by the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C crew members that I decided to throw a sizable pizza celebration for the group. I ordered pizza from the finest brick oven diner in the region. I also ordered garlic knots, salads, and cannolis for desert. The employees were really happy and I guess it helped boost morale. It feels wonderful to actually know that you are appreciated, at home and in the workplace. We have a relatively long road of medical and economical recovery ahead of us and we will not get through this virus if we don’t do this together.
