Moving out west was a pretty good move for us

When my wife and I decided to move out west with our family, we thought it wouldn’t be a big deal.

Actually it was a nice move because we found the climate to be amazing.

Suddenly the temperatures seemed to be perfect most of the time. We now have a fireplace in our home and I figure we can use that whenever it gets too chilly. We probably don’t even need to use the gas furnace, but we do have one just in case. We also have a really nice cooling system that is pretty energy efficient. Our neighbors were telling us that most of the people around there just use heat pumps because it stays pretty comfortable for most of the year, and the heat pump works great. Well, I just said that I would consider going for a heat pump when I eventually need to replace my cooling system. By the look of things, our HVAC system should last for another 10 years at least and I don’t even plan on using it very often. For the most part I just want to leave the windows open with cool breezes coming through. I love having the fresh air coming in because it improves the air quality so much inside of your home. I also look forward to using the fireplace, but so far it hasn’t become cool enough to warrant its use. When we first light up a fire in the fireplace, I think that I want a romantic candlelit dinner with my wife, that should be nice. We’ll just have the kids go spend the night at their friends’ houses or or send them out to see a movie.
